Greer Peters

Executive Director

Greer Peters joined the Urban Perform team as Executive Director in April 2017. She is a native of Gainesville, GA and has worked in the nonprofit community for more than 10 years.  She received her MBA from Florida A & M University with a focus in business ownership and community organization and change. Though she resides in the Southwest Atlanta area with her husband and three children, she has a sincere love for the history and culture of the Westside community. She understands the importance of collaboration between nonprofits and for-profits and the power of community support.  Greer developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector when she served as Heart Walk Director for the American Heart Association and Corporate Development Specialist for the American Cancer Society.  She also served as Development Director for Imhotep Academy. These experiences, along with others, helped to give her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for our world, one program at a time. Greer brings a passion for combining her unique blend of nonprofit experience and community service to expand capacity, help deliver better services, and add value. Her background has afforded her a comprehensive view of both the opportunities and challenges nonprofits face and the communities they serve.  She seeks to bridge that gap, foster positive change, and help lead Urban Perform to further success.
