
Board Chair
Melissa Tacey is an analyst and instructor of Resource Management with the Northrop Grumman Corporation at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics and History (’09) and a M.S. in Commerce (’10). While at UVA she developed a love for running, group fitness, and the abilitiy that exercise has to to change lives. This drew her to the mission of Urban Perform. She is an AFAA certfied Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Vice Chair
Fred Perry is an Atlanta native, returning home after graduating Auburn University in 2004 with Bachelors of Business Administration. He currently works in Customer Relations for Pulte Group, Inc., one of the nations largest residential home and community developers. Fred believes that one of the keys to a healthy lifestyle is a positive, supportive environment that provides both wellness education and fitness resources, and joined Urban Perform to help further it’s mission in the Atlanta Community. He is also a Certified Professional Life Coach (CPC), accomplished photographer, and avid runner having run marathons in the US and Europe.

Secretary
Dedrick Henry is currently a Transportation Security Officer with the Department of Homeland Security at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. Dedrick has been involved in physical fitness throughout his life, from boys club to division I collegiate level. Post-college Dedrick has remained physically fit, currently he is a member of the Southern Powerlifting Federation and competes in bench press competitions. He is currently the SPF Georgia state record holder in the raw bench press, 198 lbs sub-masters division. Urban Perform captures his passion for fitness and desire to see a health change in his local community.

Treasurer
Rebecca Rodgers is a Manager in the Assurance & Advisory Business Services practice at Ernst & Young LLP. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and holds a CPA license in the state of Virginia. She has prior experience serving in a Treasurer role for the nonprofit organization Henrico Court Appointed Special Advocates. She believes in the mission and vision of Urban Perform and is excited to support the local community.

Member
Billie Walker is homeowner and a 6 year resident in the English Avenue community. She is an Instructional Lead Teacher at the Atlanta Children’s Shelter. Billie works to assist homeless families providing them with childcare and other resources to help them obtain self sufficiency. Prior to joining the board, Billie worked as the Zumba instructor for Urban Perform. For Billie, working with the gym and being involved with the community go hand in hand. Billie is actively involved in her community and is excited to support Urban Perform in new ways.
